Breathwork — Wednesday, March 9th at 5:30pm PST

WHAT WE’LL BE DOING | A 3-part breath pattern, that helps us to get out of the thinking mind quickly and drop into the wisdom of the body. I'll start with an explanation of how to do the breath first, and go over what you can expect. Then, we'll do breathwork for about 25 mins (don't worry, it won't feel long); and we'll have a few songs to rest and integrate (you'll want this). I pad some time on the end in case you want to journal what came through, have questions or just want some extra quiet time; plan for 75 mins of time for yourself.

WHY DO IT | It's simple, it's cathartic and it can create big shifts. People typically come to this style of breathwork to:

*heal on a deeper level

*heighten their intuition/gain clarity

*move or clear stuck energy

*let go of negative thought patterns

*release physical and/or chronic pain

*release accumulated stress

*access that deep sense of calm & clarity that may be more difficult for them to access in stillness

HOW IT WORKS | Make sure that you have a quiet space to meditate alone. Bonus if you can pull the shades and/or have dim lighting. It's not recommended to eat a big meal before breathwork (or meditation in general). Hydration is always a good idea. Grab a blanket, eye pillow, pillow for behind your knees -- anything that will make you physically comfortable and cozy while lying down. You may want your journal nearby if you are a journal-er. This session will not be recorded, due to the nature of the meditation. I recommend you download the Zoom app vs using it in your browser so that you don’t lose connection! Take note of the contraindications below and reach out if you need.

CONTRAINDICATIONS | Consult with your medical provider before practicing this type of breathing if you have, or have a history of cardiovascular disease, angina, asthma, heart attack, high blood pressure, glaucoma, retinal detachment, osteoporosis, recent injury or surgery, any conditions for which you take regular medications, history of panic attacks, psychosis, severe mental illnesses, seizure disorders, family history of aneurisms, or are pregnant.

Some days breathwork feels very cathartic, and some days it feels more gentle and passive - no two sessions are ever the same. But, our wise bodies know what we need that day. If you have any questions at all before Sunday’s class, please don't hesitate to reach out. Hope to see you there! It’s pretty magical.
